Our program has been developed in collaboration with Dutch and Chinese experts in addiction care, as well as individuals with lived experience. It is therefore primarily intended for Dutch and Belgian clients (both English- and Dutch-speaking). At the same time, approximately 10% of our placement capacity is reserved for Cambodian clients. Cambodian participants can join on a sliding scale based on their income (those who cannot afford it may participate free of charge).

At Rebuild Yourself, we believe that lasting recovery is built through collaboration. Our core team works closely with an international network of healthcare professionals, community organizations, and trusted specialized partners to ensure that every participant receives the highest standard of personalized care, support, and guidance throughout their recovery journey.

We work closely with similar organizations such as Sunrise Mental Clinic en Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, Janet Counseling and Safehouse Aurora in Amsterdam, as well as with the clients’ general practitioners, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists. Clients who successfully complete our program and are found suitable may have the opportunity to join as volunteers and/or paid team members within our organization in Cambodia or with one of our partner organizations in the Netherlands.

Janet Counselling Practice

Your life changes when you change.
Is your life not going the way you want right now, and are you finding it difficult to make a change?
I am here to help you regain control. Together, we explore what you need to move forward and I provide practical tools to help you cope with challenging situations.

You cannot change other people or events, but you can change how you respond to them — and that makes all the difference.

What is counselling?
There may be moments when you feel stuck.
You sense that something needs to change, but you’re unsure how or where to begin. You might worry a lot, feel tension or doubt, or have the sense that you’ve lost your way.

Counselling helps you pause, gain insight, and find direction again. In a safe and open setting, we explore what is happening in your life and what you would like to change. We don’t just focus on what’s “wrong,” but on what can help you regain balance — in a way that suits you.

Together, we explore what you need to feel lighter, stronger, and more like yourself again.

Underground Safehouse Grassroots Movement
ISKCON Care was the first organization in the Netherlands to introduce the Underground Safehouse Grassroots Movement, a compassionate initiative that originated in the United States. Built by survivors, for survivors, the movement is guided by individuals with lived experience who understand the challenges of recovery firsthand. It offers hope, dignity, and a pathway to healing for people who have experienced trauma, abuse, addiction, or other life-altering circumstances.

Inspired by timeless values of compassion, justice, and selfless service, this initiative provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals can rediscover security, inner peace, recovery, and renewed purpose.

Dr. Radha, an Eastern philosopher and experienced practitioner, is recognized as one of the founding pioneers of this unique humanitarian initiative. His vision, wisdom, and lifelong dedication have played a significant role in shaping the development of this innovative recovery movement.
